URGENT CARE

  • At Premier Urgent Care, patients may be treated for the following conditions:

    • Vomiting

    • Bronchitis

    • Cuts and minor burns

    • Diarrhea

    • Ear pain

    • Skin conditions

    • Sprains or joint pain

    • Upper respiratory infection

    • Back or muscle pain

    • Urinary tract infections

    • Eye irritation and redness

    • Accidents and falls

    • Moderate back problems

    • Severe sore throat or cough

    Patients experiencing the following symptoms should visit the Emergency Department for treatment:

    • Severe chest pain or pressure

    • Head injuries

    • Pneumonia

    • Seizures

    • Deep knife wounds or gunshot wounds

    • Fever in a newborn less than three months old

    • Severe abdominal pain

    • Compound fracture

    • Sudden, severe headache

    • Sudden paralysis or weakness

    • Uncontrolled bleeding

    • Moderate to severe burns

    • Poisoning

    • Pregnancy-related concerns

    • Serious head, neck, or back injury

    • Shortness of breath

    • Suicidal or homicidal thoughts

    • Symptoms of a heart attack, such as chest pain that lasts for more than two minutes

    • Symptoms of a stroke, such as vision loss, sudden numbness, weakness, slurred speech, or confusion

  • When a patient arrives at urgent care, they’ll be asked to show their ID or driver’s license, provide insurance information, and fill out forms. Once a clinician is ready to see the patient, they’ll ask questions about symptoms, evaluate the patient’s condition, and discuss the next steps for diagnosis and treatment. Most minor injuries and illnesses can be treated onsite, but some patients may be directed to schedule a follow-up visit with their primary care physician for further treatment

  • At Premier Urgent Care, staff is trained to treat patients experiencing pain with injections, and pain management techniques.
     

    A few types of joint and soft tissue injections offered at the clinic include nerve blocks, sacroiliac joint injections, piriformis injections, epidural injections, and trigger point injections. Patients should speak to a physician at Premier Urgent Care to find out if joint and soft tissue injections could ease their symptoms.
     

    Patients can minimize their pain through various pain management techniques, including cold and heat therapy, gentle exercise, physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, cognitive behavior therapy, yoga, deep breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, biofeedback, music therapy, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication. Depending on the location and type of pain, each patient will receive a customized pain management plan.

  • Severe injuries, such as broken bones, paralysis, and internal bleeding, may require advanced treatment that may include surgery. Premier Urgent Care supports patients needing a range of treatments. Staff is available to answer any questions about obtaining advanced treatment.

Urgent care is a great alternative for emergency department visits if the patient’s symptoms are not severe or life-threatening. The staff at Premier Urgent Care treats a range of conditions with a high level of quality and care.
